Community Garage Sale Scheduled March 6

On March 6 from 8 to 1 p.m., the Mercy Street High School Ministry will sponsor a community garage sale at Mercy Street. All funds from the event will benefit The Mercy Street College Tour to Atlanta, Ga. March 17 - 20. The goal is to raise $3,000 dollars through the Mercy Street Garage Sale. MORE

Love & Diversity Scheduled Feb 20

Mercy Street is inviting, elementary mentors, parents, and mentees to "Love and Diversity: God's Love for All People" on February 20 from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m at Mercy Street. This special event is designed to teach us to learn about the diversity of cultures in our neighborhood and world. MORE

If your mentee is in high school, please consider registering him/her for either of these two opportunities: The 2nd Annual Black Student Leadership Conference of North Texas and the 2nd Annual Dallas Hispanic Youth Symposium.

Mercy Street & Education is Freedom

Helping students through their journey of accessing education after high school is one of our goals at Mercy Street. One of the partnerships we have formed to achieve this goal is with Education Is Freedom (EIF), which is housed at Pinkston High School. MORE

Magnet, Charter, & Academy Schools

The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) allows students the opportunity to attend magnet, charter and/or academy schools. The deadline for applications to magnet and academy schools is FEBRUARY 1. MORE

Volunteers Needed: Spanish Translators

¿Hablas español? If so, we could use your help. Mercy Street has several family members that are Spanish dominant or Spanish only. In an effort to communicate effectively with guardians and/or parents of students, we are compiling a list of volunteers that are fluent in Spanish. MORE
