Mercy Street is excited to be going to Pine Cove Ridge located in Columbus, Texas from Sunday, August 4 - Friday, August 9, 2019. Uplift Heights Primary and Secondary are allowing scholars to attend camp and miss their first 4 days of school. Heights Primary scholars must have had strong attendance for the 2018-2019 school year (less than 10 total unexcused and excused absences), and parents must attend and sign-in for Meet the Teacher on Wednesday, July 31st, from 4:30-6pm. Scholars must also show up to school on Monday, August 12th following camp.

Students must be connected to Mercy Street through: mentoring, sports, Leadership Institute, or Merge, and have completed 4th grade. Below you will find steps to ensure that your Mercy Street student is signed up for camp and that camp will be a wonderful week! Thank you for entrusting your child with us.

There are behavioral expectations that all campers must obey before and during camp. If a child has a difficult time living up to the expectations at any point leading up to camp, they may not receive the opportunity to attend or may be asked to leave camp. Be advised there will be no cell phone use allowed at camp, unless it is an emergency.

Why does mercy street go to camp?

Mercy Street seeks to step away from the noise of the city and to ask God to use this one week away to impact students in West Dallas. It is an experience that Mercy Street staff draws upon for years to come, walking out with students the new life that Christ has brought about at camp. Camp is a privilege for students who have demonstrated the ability to exercise self-control at Mercy Street, school, and in the neighborhood.


2019 Camp Requirement Checklist

  • Application - Fully completed applications are due May 24th. Spots are first come, first served. Mentor Coordinators have final attendee discretion. If a student is not accepted to camp, Mentor Coordinators will let the student know and the fee will be refunded.

  • Application Fee - Total cost per student is $30. Application fee is due by July 1.

  • Work Day - Each camp attendee must participate in one 4 hour work day (12 - 4pm).

      The work days will be a time to serve others in our community. In order to attend camp, students must complete a work day. Lunch will be provided.
