Introducing New Director of Development: Wynne Wideman

When I learned that Mercy Street was seeking someone to fill the Director of Development position, I knew that this role would be a fit for me.  I was ready to restart my career by combining my previous workplace and volunteer experiences with my desire to be a part of a growing and meaningful ministry.

The goals and purpose of Mercy Street are very familiar to me and my family. My husband, Craig, served as a mentor for 9 years.  We welcomed DeKendrick and Dominique into our lives in 2004 and walked with them both until they graduated high school.

I reached out to Trey Hill, a friend of mine, to learn more about the position. I am thrilled that by joining the Mercy Street family, I have found the place that fulfills my job expectations - I am now helping to make a significant impact in the lives of others.

In addition to my sales and marketing background, I have been involved in the Dallas community for over seventeen years. I have been engaged in various roles at my children’s schools and raised funds for Cattle Baron’s Ball as a member of the advisory committee. As a passionate advocate of Right To Life, I have raised funds and participated in the grand provision process of Council for Life as a long-time board member. I also had the privilege of being a board member at the Birth Choice pregnancy center.

Currently, I participate in the Young Men’s Service League with our two sons and the National Charity League with our daughter. Together, these two entities serve hundreds of philanthropies in the Dallas metroplex.

I am so excited to be part of the Mercy Street family where I can use my God-given talents and my work and volunteer experience to assist in fulfilling God’s plan for Mercy Street. Trey Hill, Mercy Street founder, has shepherded this ministry to empower the young generation of West Dallas in knowing the Lord has a plan and purpose for each of their lives. Ricky Jimmerson, the new Executive Director, brings energy, vision, and leadership for the expansion of Mercy Street’s objectives and vision. I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Ricky and the entire Mercy Street staff to further these goals and purposes.
